Hello from Sassy Mama’s New Editor!

As I’m sure many of you can attest to, moving to a new city for the first time can be pretty intimidating. My first few weeks in Hong Kong were a nightmarish blur of getting lost around Central / Soho, spending way too much on produce at the store when the wet market was just down the street and failing to communicate properly with taxi drivers (you’ll understand my frustration if you ever end up in Tseun Wan instead of Sheung Wan!). Thankfully, I had a few good girlfriends here and they let me in on their best go-to resource for newcomers, Sassy Mama Hong Kong!

This site was my lifesaver for the first few months of settling in, and I’m beyond excited to have the chance now to provide that support to YOU as the new Sassy Mama Hong Kong editor. As the head of a parenting magazine for the past two years in Shanghai, I’m well versed on everything moms need to know while trying to balance work, family and extracurriculars, spanning from pregnancy care to healthy family eating to scoping out the best mama-daughter spa spots for a little quality relaxation time. Whether you’re new to Hong Kong, a relocated expatriate or a born and bred Hong Konger, keep an eye on this page as we’ll be tapping into resources far and wide to bring you more useful, relatable content designed to make your lives a whole lot easier!

This year is full steam ahead for Sassy Mama as we spruce up our site with brand new features and content — I’m talking more medical advice columns covering everything from giving birth to breast cancer awareness, essential all-in-one guides for hot mum topics, “On the Radar” pieces highlighting new family events and activities around town and our top picks for kid-friendly dining and date nights to try with your hubby!

Of course, we’ll be continuing to bring you your favorite features on the site, including mama-approved reviews, beauty tips and tricks, and our That Mama interview which is all about gaining inspiration from you, the fabulous mamas who manage to juggle multiple roles while staying healthy, happy and sane!
