During the three-hour workshop kids will have a unique opportunity to explore a particular film genre. Previous workshop themes include family faves such as ‘Superheroes’ and ‘science-fiction’. They’ll also have the chance to come up with their own characters, develop dialogue and to begin to bring their own story to life via the fun process of designing a storyboard. The team will explain technical aspects of the filmmaking process such as the function of the Director and art department, how to use certain camera angles to create particular effects and how to use Foley-sound (the reproduction of everyday sound effects) to enhance a story.
