I’ll be the first to say I’m no runner. And I hate the treadmill. While I do occasionally head out for a jog on Bowen Road, it’s just that – a jog. (I’m fairly sure that Hubby can walk faster than I ‘run’). But all this isn’t going to stop me from UNICEF’s charity run at Hong Kong Disneyland on November 28.

Who’s with me?!

There’s a Half Marathon, 10k and 3k run – so whether you’re a hardcore runner, a weekend warrior, a couch potato – or something in between – there is a run for you!

Unicef Fun Run at Disney Land in Hong Kong is scheduled to take place this November

UNICEF Charity Run 2010 at Hong Kong Disneyland

The UNICEF Charity Run is the 2nd largest distance running event in Hong Kong and has been held for four consecutive years (and has raised HK$20 million to date!). This year it’s being held again at the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort and Sunny Bay (super scenic).

All funds raised will benefit UNICEF’s ‘Unite For Children – Unite Against AIDS’ Global Campaign. Their target is to raise HK$7.5 million for UNICEF’S “Mother-Baby Pack” which helps to prevent mothers in Africa from transmitting HIV/AIDS to their babies, in utero and after birth.

Enrollment is on a first come, first served basis and the deadline is 30 October 2010. Check here to enroll.

Not a runner, but inspired to participate (you go, girl!) – check out these tips for preparing for the race.
