The Only Kindergarten In The World To Collaborate With teamLab Is In Hong Kong!

LearnPost Category - LearnLearn

Canadian International School of Hong Kong’s new Early Years Centre in THE SOUTHSIDE has its very own teamLab room for students!

Canadian International School of Hong Kong has been known as one of Asia’s premier international schools for more than 30 years, welcoming nearly 2,200 students from over 40 nationalities. And it’s recently expanded from its Nam Long Shan Road campus to provide an Early Years Centre designed just for Nursery and Early Years 1

The 14,000 square-foot space in THE SOUTHSIDE features state-of-the-art learning technology including the world’s first-ever educational collaboration with the Japanese arts collective teamLab! Read on to find out more about its facilities and admissions.

An Engaging Environment To Spark Natural Curiosity

Blending art, science and language acquisition (just the setting for toddlers to easily absorb knowledge), CDNIS is committed to fostering an inquiry-based approach even in its Early Years curriculum.

The ground-breaking collaboration with Japanese arts collective teamLab is the first of its kind in the world, giving students a more interactive platform to express themselves. Teachers showcase installations of underwater fish, the animal world, people and communities – students’ drawings are also scanned and projected on the wall in a colourful, animated world, igniting their imaginations as they explore how their actions influence their surroundings. And honestly, by the sound of that, us Mamas definitely wish we had that experience in our nursery class!

Bilingual Programmes To Cater To Diverse Needs

Classes are taught in English and Mandarin – the small class sizes with experienced teachers ensures individualised attention, whilst spurring students’ love of learning and equipping them with critical skills like problem-solving. All students including the youngest are taught to approach each day with the eyes of curiosity, exploration and opportunity, already setting them one step ahead of the curve for the future.

Admissions Are Now Open For 2025

CDNIS’ admissions for August 2024 drew numerous families in Hong Kong (so you know the competition is rife!). Nursery applications for 2025-26 will be accepted from Friday, November 1 through Saturday, November 30, 2024. Interested families can get in touch via the school’s website to know more.
