White Wine Whimsy
The “no makeup” makeup look was a huge hit with Mamas everywhere – requiring very little makeup – and therefore, very little effort! The “White Wine” makeup trend ups the ante just a bit by recreating the clean and shiny aesthetic that your favourite glass of white wine exudes.
You’ll need a flawless, glowy base, a cream contour and a tinted lip balm as the blush. Use a pearly highlighter on the highest points of your face (cheekbones, brow bone and nose bridge), a lip colour of your choice but more importantly, a shiny lip gloss.

Latte-licious
As the name suggests, the “Latte” makeup trend is inspired by the delicious colour of your cuppa.
It’s all about adding brown hues and golden shades to bring warmth and dimension to the skin. Apply bronzer to the areas where the light naturally hits your face and chest (cheeks, bridge of the nose, forehead, and decolletage) You can go as glam as you like with smokey eyes, shimmery colours and glossy lips. Simply remember to avoid any colours with pink undertones.

Tomato Temptation
If by now you’re wondering why so many of these makeup trends are named after food and drinks, check out this interesting read. Though the “Tomato Girl” was trending in the summer of 2023, it is perfect for Chinese New Year parties (red is a lucky colour to wear during CNY after all!).
The key to achieving this look is a red-hued cream blush with sheer coverage that is applied to areas where the light naturally reflects on your face. Use a very small amount to begin with (you don’t want to end up looking like an actual tomato!) and tap it onto the apples of the cheek, along the bridge of the nose and on the forehead. Remember, less is more when it comes to this look!
