Apart from the famous Umeshu (a delicious Japanese liqueur made by ume plums), ume is also commonly used for making non-alcoholic, yet equally refreshing beverages. During the workshop, kids will learn how to make their very own ume syrup with a healthy twist by replacing rock sugar with a low-sugar alternative. By the end of the workshop, the little ones will leave with a jar of ume syrup, along with a recipe in case they’d like to recreate it at home! Before you head out, don’t forget to bring an apron and a pen (for taking notes). Children under 7 must be accompanied by a parent.
