The Sassy Mama Guide to Halloween in HK
Halloween is a monstrously magical time for Hong Kong city kids—as long as you know what to do and where to go. Here’s the Sassy Mama lowdown on what you need to know to have the best Halloween in HK, including the best places to get super-scary costumes, to trick-or-treat and other ghastly goodness.

Disneyland’s Haunted Halloween sees the clash of evil on Main St, Graves Academy, the Cursed Jungle and Revenge of the Headless Horseman! There’s also happenings in Adventureland, the Party Zone and Space Mountain. Also check out the Ghost Galaxy in Tomorrowland. Every Thursday – Sunday from 4 – 28 October. And of course on 31 October.

SCREAM at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong is now a dark and abandoned asylum, with live performers and wax monsters. The best thing is that with every purchase of a regular-priced admission ticket throughout the event period, visitors will be given spooky make-up sessions or stickers. Now til 31 October.

Ocean Park’s Halloween Bash is one of the spookiest Halloween parties in town, with 14 freaky shows filled with scares from the underworld… including a 5D journey and a flick of all the ghostly legends of Hong Kong. Now til 31 October.

The Lan Kwai Fong Halloween Street Party is one of the most fun places for Halloween partying. Not for the faint hearted or very young kids but your tweens and teens will love the sights. Go early and head home before the mayhem starts. Enter the Lan Kwai Fong Halloween photo-taking competition, but get ready for the one way system which means it’ll be slow going from place to place. On 31 October.

Wisekids in Cyberport has face painting, crafts, cave adventures and balloon ghost-making! Plus there will be games and a dress up competition for the whole family on Sunday 28th October. Babies under 2 years old go from 11am to 12:30pm while kids above 2 years old go from 4pm to 5:30pm. The cost is $280, which includes one child and two adults.
