Musicus Society is a Hong Kong-based classical music organisation that provides a platform for young musicians to showcase their skills and learn from industry experts. This year’s event will highlight two concerts that involve young artists and students from its ensemble training program. Providing them with opportunities to perform alongside world-class musicians, it encourages their growth and inspires them to reach new heights of excellence.

Sassy Mama number peach 1Family Concert: Marco Polo’s Musical Encounter Of East And West

This enchanting performance brings together Italian co-directors and actors, Maddalena Recino and Ursula Volkmann, along with lead actor Marc Ngan and a talented cast of child actors. Together they will present a modern interpretation of Commedia dell’Art, a traditional Italian theatre form with a contemporary twist. Prepare to be mesmerized as the stage comes alive with vibrant characters and captivating storytelling.

Suitable for ages 3 years and over, you’ll also see renowned pianist Colleen Lee and talented musicians take you on an interactive journey through the rich traditions of Chinese and Western instruments. This is not just a concert; it’s an immersive experience that entertains and educates and an ideal opportunity for families to introduce young ones to classical music and a variety of instruments.

Prepare to be swept away by the world-acclaimed orchestra known for the “Mozart sound.” Camerata Salzburg’s exceptional artistry will transport you to another realm as they perform Mozart’s Concertone for Two Violins and Orchestra in C. Suitable for ages 6 years and over, this masterpiece will feature two rising stars from Hong Kong, Fan Hiu-sing and Jeremy Hao, who will showcase their virtuosity on the violin.

But that’s not all. The Festival Finale also serves as a platform for students from the Ensemble Training program to shine alongside the professionals as they perform the grand “Jupiter” Symphony and captivating works by Raff and Weiner.
