Awareness on healthy food consumption and better wellness is on the rise, and so must the awareness on what we put on our skin. We nourish our bodies with good food, organic produce and even green juicing but what our skin absorbs is just as important.

I’ve never really paid much attention to it until I embraced a more pro-active health and wellness lifestyle which is something all of us mamas can get on board with. Formahldehyde. According to data from the federal Food and Drug Administration, nearly 1 in 5 cosmetic products contains a substance that generates formaldehyde, a known human carcinogen, reports Johanna Congleton, a senior scientist for Environmental Working Group.
