Sip ‘n’ Shop Party: Polkadot Boutique hosts our Sassy Mama blogger meet-up

We absolutely love Polkadot’s cute little boutique store on Hollywood Road, and we were beyond excited to hear that they regularly host Sip ‘n’ Shop parties for women looking for a chance to catch up with friends away from noisy bars or restaurants. Although we normally host our blogger meet-ups at cafés, we thought this would be a nice change of pace, and also give our Sassy Mama contributors a chance to snag up some cool accessories at bargain prices!

Polkadot stocks a wide selection of mid-range accessories and apparel from international brands as well as up-and-coming local designers. You’ll find plenty of colour among the selection, ranging from bright, bold accessories to flow-y dresses and wearable summer pieces. Flipping through the racks, you can immediately tell that each item is carefully sourced and hand-picked, reflecting the boutique’s philosophy of providing comfortable yet chic items for everyday wear.

The fantastic Polkadot team was kind enough to set up this breakfast spread for our Sassy Mama contributors to nibble on while browsing the racks (they can prepare this for any Sip ‘n’ Shop party — usually with a little bubbly thrown into the mix!)

With the bulk of accessories around the $200-400 price point, the hard part is limiting your purchases to just one or two pieces (the Rebecca Bloomwood in me was fighting to make an appearance!) One of our bloggers snagged a cute pair of earrings while another opted for a stylish cut-out leather jacket — perfect for layering on a cool night. I grabbed a gold chain necklace with a light pink stone pendant, a simple statement piece that has since dressed up 90% of my daily work outfits. Score!
