Have you not heard the buzz? Do you live under a ROCK mama? There hasn’t been this much furore about a new opening since Yardbird, and we’re bringing you the scoop. Brickhouse is the new hangout for too-cool-for-school HK-ers, tucked away down a little dark alley in LKF, right next to Milan Station (and we don’t recommend shopping for Birkins after one too many margaritas!). Serving up delicious Mexican nosh in a chilled-out setting, this is the perfect place for mums and dads to do date night, as you won’t get a table after 6pm for love nor money anyway… Early night ahoy!
Thumbs up for
The vibe is upbeat, the music is pumping, it’s a blast in a glass. The food isn’t bad either… We can’t get enough of the yummy Nachos, lip-smackingly good Mexican Street Corn and the pork tacos. The super-strong cocktails mean you might even get lucky at the end of the night. Service is friendly and unpretentious and the management clearly care about what they’re doing. Check out the review over on Sassy for the full scoop on all the food!
Thumbs down for
Well, being the latest hot spot has its drawbacks… Even if you arrive bang on 5pm when they open, you’ll most likely have to wait behind a “Private Party” notice, giving your name to a greeter and then lingering hopefully before you’re granted entry. It’s all a bit novel if your clubbing days are long behind you.
Kid-friendly?
Nope, Brickhouse is strictly for the grown-ups, though if they ever decided to open for brunch or lunch, the kiddos would love it!
Price Range
Very reasonably priced, and if you get there early (which you basically have to) their happy hour deal means mama gets two glasses of wine for free! Woohoo!
