Okay, you’ve got to be super speedy and get yourself organised as Club Med is currently holding a summer flash sale that ends this Friday (29 June). There are a number of family-friendly getaways on offer with a variety of packages (including some swoon-worthy Maldives packages!). But for a super easy escape, we’re looking at Okinawa. When it’s roasting hot on our hols, all we want to do is take a dive into some crystal-clear water and you’ll find just that at Kabira Beach, Japan. Perfect for culture vultures and snorkeling fanatics, Okinwawa is a firm family go-to. Club Med is also an easy choice for those with kids as it has its famed kid’s clubs, baby corner and babysitting service and to sweeten the deal, kids under the age of 4 stay for free in this summer extravaganza!

Koh Samui is another family friendly staple that rarely disappoints. Take some time out and live it up at the Mai Samui Beach Resort & Spa with prices starting at $5934 for eight nights. Not to mention that it has quite possibly the cutest airport ever with complimentary juices in the departure lounge! Perhaps you only need a long weekend to recuperate this summer. If three days is enough for you, then we recommend checking out a special deal currently on offer at several Banyan Tree Hotel locations. Book a three-night stay at participating hotels using a MasterCard until March 2019, and enjoy a complimentary night free! Click here to see the full list of participating hotels and resorts. Vietnam is one of our favourite destinations; the culture, the food, and the scenery are to die for. This is definitely a pricey option (prices vary so check the options) but with a free night, it gives you the chance to experience the luxe life. This high-end resort looks better suited for older kids and teens. If you’re not off exploring ancient temples and the street markets, you can enjoy the water centre for Jet skis, paddle boards, kayaks, windsurfing and more. Good luck trying to fit it all in!

Visit our neighbours up north and take in all Beijing has to offer this summer. The hotel chain EAST, Beijing, is currently running a summer promotion for its Urban View rooms. Rates start at RMB 1,488 and includes breakfast for two and dining credit of RMB 300 that can be used at any of the hotel’s food and beverage outlets, including Feast (Food by EAST), Xian and Hagaki, plus a welcome gift of a bottle of wine. Feast also comes with a supervised Kid’s Corner so you can kick back at brunch and take a break while the kids run riot. The hotel is just around the corner from the super hip 798 arts neighbourhood, so expect to get some A+ content for Instagram. Just remember to download a VPN beforehand. The Beijing summer heat can be tough without a place to cool off, so keep this in mind if you have very little ones; but this does seems like a great opportunity for kids to show off their Putonghua they’ve been practising all year at school. Plus, cheap flights to Beijing are easy to come by and normally run at convenient times.

Beach? Surf? Spas? Sounds good, right? There are plenty of reasons why Bali is one of the top destinations out of HK, for singletons and families alike. If you’re looking for bliss, then Bali is where you need to be. It can take around five hours to fly there, which is still long enough that you need to be fully prepared with entertainment and snacks for the kids, but we still think it’s worth it. Once again, kids under the age of 4 stay for free at Club Med Bali (this package is also part of the Club Med flash sale) and there’s a special splash pool to keep them entertained for days when you don’t want to stray too far. To make things extra easy for mum and dad, there are all-inclusive dining options and kid’s programmes including cooking lessons and circus skills for kids age 4 to 11. Easy breezy.
